Lessons Learned are the insights and experiences that you have gained during the process of a project. You usually document them at the end of a project in the project closure report. You should consult the report at the beginning of a new project in order to avoid making the same mistakes, but also to see which measures worked well before. The Lessons Learned method is usually used in traditional projects rather than agile ones, where retrospectives are done after each sprint.
